Crisis Financial Plan
Crisis Financial Plan by Faithful Financial Coaching
Take care of your four walls:
a. Housing (rent/mortgage, essential utilities)
b. Transportation (car payment, if applicable, gas)
c. essential clothing
d. food
2. Make minimum payment on debt, if you can.
a. NO NEW DEBT unless you are avoiding a bankruptcy!
3. Get a job/second job. Even if this is a temporary job to get you through a temporary situation it will take some pressure off of your financial situation.
Notes: Essential utilities do not include cable television, Netflix, etc… Internet may be essential if your children are participating in school from home (online). Most of us have enough clothing to last for a while and do not need to buy anything new, buy used if possible and pay cash. Trade with friends/neighbors. Keep your food budget as minimal as possible and avoid eating out, as it is costly. When in crisis, you have to adjust your life to fit the situation you are in! It is not easy, but your future self thanks you for leaving them as little mess as possible!
